So I’m looking at Harry Bush’s art (what kind of name is that come on) because Pollums posted a little photoset. (That link is NSFW)
Damn! I really love his artstyle! His linework is really fluid and soft, but the overall drawings are pretty crisp. It’s beautiful! It’s lively! It wouldn’t be hard to imagine his illustrations actually in motion. (Just looking it over a bit, it’s undeniable that Polly Guo probably took a lot of inspiration from him.)
So I’m kind of in love with his art. Naturally, I want an art book. And it gets a little weird. I actually want a non-erotic art book of his. I mean, usually this kind of thing doesn’t bother me in the least, I’ve got other artbooks with arguably weirder sexual content. (Usually the subject matter trends towards girls though, like Gary Baseman’s My Hunger for Venison or Camilla D’Errico’s Sparrow books. Granted, people take issue with these books for different reasons, and the styles are much more cartoonish.)
I don’t know, I’m just not in love with the how porny Bush’s art is, despite how much I like his abilities. Does he have any that aren’t exclusively erotic?
(Also, I don’t know what the deal is, but it looks like he took the phrase “hung like a horse” a little to seriously.)
